Has anyone added a ladder and a roof rack to their bullet so they can carry kayaks?

Keystone Bullet travel trailers are ultra light coaches that have free floating filon walls. I don't think these trailers were engineered to support the weight of a roof ladder or a fabricated roof rack. It's commonly accepted that if a light weight coach didn't come installed with a ladder from the manufacturer, it won't support an aftermarket product. Just walk on the 1/4 inch roof decking and you'll know what I mean.

Alternatively, they make a variety of kayak mounts and racks for almost every tow vehicle. Definitely a safer option.

I would be extremely concerned with any load rack on a TPO or EPDM roof. Even if the rack spans the entire roof membrane and is secured on the trailer sides (eliminating all contact with the roofing membrane), even a kayak bow line that is not secured and whips in the wind for a 100 mile tow or the loose end of a 1" nylon strap whipping in the wind could easily damage the TPO roof membrane. A slip when loading, someone dropping the bow of the kayak and hitting the membrane or one of so many other "possible damaging accidents" would, in my opinion, preclude any thought of using the roof of a light or ultra-light trailer as an extension of the cargo capacity.

If it didn't come with it, it wasn't meant to have one!!
