I was in that assembly facility last May. They build the Alpine, Avalanche and Laredo Mid Profile in that building. Per industry standards it is a low output assembly building. About half the output of the Montana assembly line. I really think this equates to a better built unit. We also toured the Cougar assembly line. A world of difference in the construction materials, especially the framing.

That’s good news. We are really anxious for it to arrive.

Wow! You gotta be on pins and needles with excitement! Thanks for sharing the photos. Looking forward to hearing of your first journey! We have bounced our Alpine up and down the highways and byways to the tune of around 80,000 miles (fulltime) and it is still tight!

That’s the dealer. General RV in Ashland Va. it was finished at Keystone on the Thursday after I initially posted. It took another week for it to make it to the dealer. General recently bought this facility. It has 22 bays now and they are adding another 28.

They may sell the Alpines & Grand Designs at the same dealer, but fairly certain the Alpine built by Keystone owned by Thor & Grand Design Reflections/Solitudes now owned by Winnebago don't share any assembly facilities.

We ordered the unit Feb 10 and we were able to pick it up yesterday. The longest part was getting the hitch installed in my truck. The dealer General RV in Ashland VA has been great. Here’s a picture as we are getting ready to leave the dealer. 16214

On a side note, the tank pull handle label gremlin hit 2 of my handles. Black and grey 1 were switched. Glad I use a clear extension on my hose.

I met the company area rep at the show and kept in touch with him even before the build started. When our salesman received word it was being built I had him ask for pictures.

Thank you and enjoy many great years of camping in your unit as well!

If it is not too much trouble, could you tell me the measurement of 3 seat rear couch, width and open sleeping area?

I’ll try to remember to measure it. I know we were able to fit a set of queen sheets on it.

Thanks, also another question, Does your new unit have an exterior propane hook up for a grill? (quick connect)

I have not found an exterior propane hook up for a grill. It might be hiding somewhere but I don’t think it has one.

I finally measured the fold out bed/couch. It is 68” x 64”. The target queen sheet fits but is a little big for it.

RV Driver Ed

Thanks for the measurements, I will have to figure out how to make the sheet fit a little better so I 6 foot person could fit better on the bed.
