25RES Bypass

Where is the shut off valve on the 2018 Cougar 25RES? Figured before I start tearing things apart I should just look for a little help...Might want hot water this weekend.:facepalm:

Bypass valve is on the backside of the water heater tank. I don’t know your specific floor plan, but often times you have to remove a panel to access it.

The hot water heater bypass on the 25RES is in the multi function compartment next to the hot water heater and it should be labeled. Also note there is a switch inside the hot water heater panel that has an on/off switch for electric hot water operation. It must be turned on in order for the switch inside the trailer to work.

Mine is the 25RES Half Ton version so I'm not sure if the 25RES Xlite model is exactly the same since they changed several features between the two..
