Hi folks, new to this forum, just picked up new cougar 28sgs and i hit the battery disconnect and the docking light shut down but the landing gear still operates , is this normal? Thought that would kill all power?

There are a few items that will work with the battery disconnect 'thrown' to off. Landing gear on ours as well as the CO/propane monitor and at least one inside light. I generally install a 'full' disconnect switch on one of the battery cables to shut everything down as that gas monitor can discharge the battery while in fairly long storage. As far as which cable to install any disconnect you may add - that's always good for a long discussion but I use what most rauto acing organizations require and that's the plus side
