Just watching the morning news and it looks like you can get anything you want for weather out there. What have you had for weather over the last 48 hours ?

Here in Alberta the snow started Thursday night and petered out Saturday night after dumping 20 inches of snow on us. Temperature is not bad at 8 F this morning. Spent 3 hours yesterday with the tractor blowing snow.

Oh wow! Lucky you!! Lol, sunny and 50 degrees here but they are talking about a little rain mixed with snow Monday evening. As long as its decent for another week, then were heading to Davenport FL for week to warm up!

Have had a warm, dry winter here so far - only 1.9" for the season (our winter rainy season starts in Nov.). Trees were budding out and the nut trees are in blossom about a month early. DW and I got brave and put in some of our garden - tomatoes and zucchini. In the last 2 weeks we've seen 28 degrees for several nights - no, the tomatoes didn't make it - and we've had thunder storms with heavy rain and hail. But it's all good - we desperately need the rain and the snow in the Sierras. Keep it coming. We're hoping for a "miracle March":)

62F here. Maybe showers this afternoon. Had a lot of rain in the last 2 weeks. Rivers are high. Too high for me to fish. Galveston Bay is fresh water. Tomatoes planted last week. Also cabbage, collards, lettuce, peppers, and even okra. Grass is fertilized and greening up.
Cool front forecasted later this week. Frigid temps...44F.

Here in the FL panhandle we've had a bit of a cold snap. Upper 60s/low 70s in the day and mid 40s at night...brrrrr! Missing those mid 60 night time temps; had to dig my flannel shirts back out. Hopefully we'll be out of this cold blast soon before we freeze........:whistling:

Wild here yesterday. I was in Bay area at work and getting flooding amounts of rain. Wife called and said her sister was getting pelted with hail and our house was dry. Avalanches in Sierras so I think that qualifies as a mixed bag. As I stand in the garage waiting for my first customer its 41* and sunny

We can't really complain, considering what the NE is being hammered with.

No there's not much federal government land in Texas. What I heard (read?) was that when Texas was admitted to the union in 1845 they cut a deal to keep all open land themselves. So, a lot of that open land was given to railroads to get them to lay tracks and a lot sold off for ranches and farms.
There are some National Forest campgrounds in east Texas and I think some Fed property in north Texas (national grasslands?), and Big Bend Nat Park. I guess Padre Island could be a National Seashore. Probably have to use a private campground in Galveston, or Galveston Island State Park.

Been cold here in Nebraska until this weekend when temps were in mid to upper 60s, but with a wind, of course. It's Nebraska. Snow predicted tomorrow or Tuesday and cool/cold for the foreseeable future. It had better turn nice soon though as we intend to start our next trip the first week of April..

Ha ha, aren't you funny today! I had a friend that moved down there several yrs ago to Palm Harbor and he poked fun at the riders wearing riding clothes like it was cold out...now he's one of those guys!

It was 55 F at lunch time today. Highway 41 to southwest entrance of Yosemite was clear and dry. Had we entered the park chains were required.

I like living 35 miles from Yosemite. At 1,400 feet we have had no snow at home since we moved here 3 years ago.
