Only once when this trailer was new.

On the flat plains of W TX on a cold (20s) blustery day on our maiden "checking it out" trip. Hooked up the black tank washer, had the DW turn on the water and was immediately soaked by the water spraying back at me (bad vacuum break). I was NOT happy, AND it was the maiden "check it out trip"; next to nothing in the trailer for spare clothes etc. so finished everything in wet clothes. Thankfully it WAS W TX, in the winter; there were no other campers except a few full timers toward the back.

Or, in retrospect, the time we were in a rush to leave and forgot to raise the front stabilizers before dropping the tongue on the hitch.....ouch! SM couldn't keep the grin off his face as I recounted the story; guess he's heard the story before.....I hope..

Every time I go camping I can hear/see/surmise someone that can definitely use that shirt. Myself included every now and then.

I guess mine would be with our pop up. Had it all set up, beds pulled out and canvas secured...went to plug in power and cord wouldn't reach. Campground was full and we had a nice audience watching the whole spectacle.

Had to un-secure the canvas, push in the front bed back in, raise the stabilizers (Which were just little manual legs that I Had to lay down on the ground to get to). All of this just so I could move the pop up back about 5 feet and then re-level, reset the stabilizers, pull the bed back out and re-secure the canvas.

Typically when my wife finishes flapping her arms like humming bird wings after I back in she starts flapping her jaws to the new neighbors. They are distracted from my colorful use of the English language.:censored:
Thankfully she doesn't read these posts!

I've talked to or PM'ed more than one member who has "instigated" a family discussion about postings on this forum. I was sent a PM by one DW who insisted I instruct her husband to stop commenting about her and expected me to censor his posts to remove anything related to her or their discussions when camping. You never know who might have access to the forum, so only post "what you can get away with" or "what the DW/DH will smile about".....

A while back we were sitting outside enjoying a beverage when the young workamper escorted a motorhome next to us, the driver stopped the mh & opened the window to talk to the escort while his wife jumped out with the walkie talkie & ran behind the mh & begins to shout instructions into the walkie talkie non stop & waving her arms, the husband finishes his questions to the escort while the wife is still back there shouting instructions & calmly says to the escort "would please go back there & tell my wife to turn her walkie talkie on", thought I'd fall out of my chair.

I'd have had to apologize to the lady as probably egging her husband on.

I didn't say (and can't now say) that she was a "happy camper" when I essentially told her that if she didn't like what her DH posted, talk to him about it that I was staying out of their disputes..... I suppose I could have apologized to her for her husband's comments, but I didn't...... :whistling:

I suppose it was more a "caution" for someone posting about their DW/DH to not always think that they don't read (or have access to) the forum.... More than "big brother" can sneak online and check up on postings..... :hide:

Wow, didn't think I'd be taken so literally but thanks for the concern!

Not so much an issue when backing into a campground spot. BUT!! our RV pad on the side of the house is a different story (a long and complicated story) all together.
Backing in from the blind side, house is angled differently than the RV pad, fire hydrant in the way, neighbor parks his cars right up to the property line plus a very menacing overhang on the house. Add the fact that I can't hear worth a damn and well, you get the picture:)
