We have a new 326 and it has about 100 LED lights which are super bright white. Has anybody changed them out to a softer warmer tone?

I’ve had the same problem and looked for replacements without success. The biggest problem was the lights over the bed, I found dimmers for them but they were pricey. I ended up getting a small battery power light at the walmarts to use in the bedroom instead of the built ins. Only solution I have found so far.

When I changed all my incandescent bulbs to LED in my Springdale I tried the 5000-ish kelvin color and it was too blue and bright. I changed to the 3500 kelvin which is much warmer color tone (more yellow than blue). It was a good change.

The older trailers that came with incandescent bulbs will adapt to "changeable" LED assemblies. With them, it was just unplug and replace with a different color temperature LED assembly. The newer trailers typically have overhead light fixtures with permanently installed LED's. So, there is no easy way to change them out other than to remove and replace the entire fixture. That can get very expensive with the number of fixtures that are installed in today's trailers.

You might find that placing a sheet of tinted film inside the fixture cover may help "tone down" the bright, bluish light. You can usually find the "windshield tint film at auto parts stores. Other than that possibility, I don't know of any "easy way" to change the color of the overhead LED fixtures.

What John suggested is probably the easiest way to do this. "white" LEDs are actually blue LEDs that have a yellow phosphor added to them to change the color to white. By adding a bit more yellow the color temperature is changed from "cool" white to "warm". If you pop the lenses off the light fixtures and slip in a light yellow sheet that will "warm" up the light color to something closer to an incandescant bulb. The trick will be getting a shade that is acceptable without being to candle-ish. If you go to a craft store, they often have tinted transparent plastic film. It would be a cheap and easy way to do it, or at least do some experiments.

This thread is interesting in that most complaints are that LEDs are too yellow or too blue & looking for something brighter. The other complaints are where to buy more cause their already burnt out. Personally I'm glad I don't have them.

I’m a big fan of LED lights but I agree that they are too bright in that small of a space.

I bought two dimmers on eBay for for 20 bucks each. Put one in bedroom and one in front living room. They work great.

I'll take a closer look at the PCBs under the lenses soon, depending on how they're set up it may be possible to desolder a few of the LEDs.
