I was about to "pull the trigger" on a Andersen Ultimate gooseneck (no rails) hitch when I discovered the Pullrite #2600. Very similar to Andersen..fits over the gooseneck ball in the bed. It is made of steel so it's bit heavier, but still manageable I think. It looks to be about $100 dollars cheaper than Andersen. I will call Pullrite next week to ask some questions, but does anyone here have any experience with this hitch?

Your 5er is most likely out of warranty, unless you have extended, may want to check that, mine stated any type of gooseneck would void the warranty. Just a thought.

Yeah it's out of warranty. I voided it pretty quick anyway when I had a custom fabbed rear bumper with a receiver installed.

If the frame is made by Lippert, the “goose box” will not void the frame warranty. Anderson site says they have an insurance policy to cover warranty repairs if voided by Lippert.

Curious if the Lockout was on this setup, looks like it might have been on there.

It's not about money, but it is. I can buy 3 PullRites for the price of that Goosebox. I think the failure rate of the Andersen is statistically pretty low, and likely some extenuating circumstances. And, I have gap insurance on the 5th. LOL
There are a couple features of the PullRite I like better, the rail pads, and the latch doesn't have a cable, it's steel, and did I mention it's $100 cheaper?

I ordered the Pullrite today from Tweety's. Best price I could find from my usual sources. Free shipping. $644.40.
