Has anyone setup their rig for solar. If so did you find that the system met your needs or could you offer advice to a rookie.

We have two older batteries with 160 watts of portable solar. It provides us all the power we need when boondocking on sunny days. We cannot use our AC or Microwave and camping in the desert during the winter have not had a need. We do use a 300 watt inverter for tv (maybe a 2 hour movie) her sewing machine and a CPAP machine (no heat). Have never run out of power and if partly cloudy days, just skip the movie. I do move the collectors to track the sun for more efficiency.
Sure gives us more time to enjoy really nice uncrowded areas.
