Not sure what F150 you have or what "heavy duty tow" option you have, please provide more specific information about your TV and you'll be more likely to get opinions about towing.

As for the trailer, its empty weight is 4762 with a max load of 1693 and a tongue weight (empty) of 455. Some of the newer F150's would handle the trailer weight properly loaded and with adequate hitch, but some of the older F150's would be hard pressed to tow it safely. Give us more information about the Ford you have.

Sorry, left off the year, 2008. Not sure what other info I can give. Heavy duty towing package is exactly what the model says. I couldn't tell you exactly what that means. From what I can decipher, the model has a max of 9,000 pounds. Actually looking for only people who are towing a 280BH with a F-150 for their opinion.

No problem, I hope you find some advice.

This question surfaces on a regular basis and the answer is always the same regardless. If the gross weight of the trailer is at or below the tow rating of your truck, the hitch weight, passengers and cargo does not exceed the payload capacity of the truck, and you have a properly set up WD hitch and sway control, then it will pull it. Towing comfort level is subjective.
Some people choose to exceed ratings and most that do seem to do it without issue, but that is going to be your call. The numbers are there for your use.

Passports are designed for 1/2 ton pickups, at least that's what Keystone says. We pulled a 2008 280BH for 3 years with a 1/2 ton TV with no problems at all. You didn't say if your talking about a Passport or not and I assumed by the model that that's what it is. Here's the brochure from 2007 that Keystone put out showing an F-150 towing it; http://eaa1358.com/Passport/Passport%202007%20Brochure.pdf and here's the 2008 brochure; http://eaa1358.com/Passport/Passport%202008%20Brochure%20V1.pdf I report, you decide.

Thanks Flyguy.....Yes, I'm interested in the Passport 280BH between you and a few PM's, sounds like the F150 will suffice. Also, thanks for all the mods on your site!

I agree with most of the above if your towing is pretty much local. Long hauls could be a different situation. Mountains, valleys & extreme temperatures could create alot of stress for that truck & it's driver!

Tampajim don't be afraid to go long haul. I have pulled our passport all over the smoky mountains and up to Kalamazoo MI and back, and out to MO and IA all with no problems.

I pull a Passport 280BH with a 2009 1/2ton Dodge Ram 1500 4.7, It pulls and handles fine, but of course, more power would always be nice.
