We are hearing a chirping alarm on the exterior of our 17 Cougar 5th wheel (326RDS) & cannot locate it. Anyone else experience this?

If your battery is low the gas detector will chirp .... especially in cold weather. Also.... a low battery will freeze. Hope this helps, Hank

As mentioned, the CO/LP sensor will chirp, very annoying, if the coach battery is low or a loose ground cable at the battery. Yours is new, but those sensors are only good for about 5 years, will be/should be dated on the back, but mine was dated 2011 on a 2013 trailer, so might be worth checking.

As stated above, when the battery gets low, the carbon monoxide sensor will chirp. Do you have your battery on a trickle charger or plugged in to shore power were you are storing it?

11.2VDC at detector is the threshold for some brands.

We disconnect our battery after each trip, so the carbon monoxide detector doesn't draw it down. You can also have a disconnect switch installed at the battery.

Thanks everyone. We actually discovered it wasn't our trailer! (embarrassing)
It was the one parked next to ours! But your comments are super good to know. We also added another battery so we have all we need for any dry camping in the near future!
This is a wonderful resource site! Safe travels all!
