Underneath liner floor damaged

Hi guys, maybe you can help me, I have a 2014 Bullet Premier with over 50000 miles on it, we travel alote.

Now I just realized the the floor of my TT is soft at two areas, over the tires of the TT. So I crouch under the TT to realized that the black tarp liner under the floor, just over the wheels is actually destroyed, probably because of the rain, road grime ect.

I will have to install a mud flap of some sort after the repair, to make sure not to damage the floor liner anymore

Do someone ever had that issue? Do over wheele mud protectors even exist?

The Darco lining over the wheel wells has always been "weak" to me. It works fine, I think, if you only hit water on the highway. I can't imagine trying to run rocky roads with the Darco as the only lining I had.

If you've run 50k miles I figure you are really lucky that something worse hasn't happened. I would take it in and have it repaired professionally. I don't think that you can put anything on the tires to stop the throwing of debris into the wheel well. With the "cheap" underlining of the wheel wells and bottom (coroplast) you have to look at those lining often.

That exactly what I wanted to do, install 1ft x 3ft. Coroplast under the floor, just over the wheels, this way the road grim from the wheel will destroy the coroplast, instead of the Darco

On my old Jayco, I used sheet metal. You can get it in various widths in a roll. I lined my wheel wells after a few blowouts tore up the Darco.

I never had a blow out, the damadge Darco was from wear of wheels grim, rain, snow ice. I do travel during winter in Canada
