Be really careful of what salesmen are pitchin' to you. Sometimes you just gotta take a pitch.

Well to all the weight crazies that 5er has the following specs.
Dry 8,870#
GVWR 10,400#
Dry pin 1,240 14%
Wet pin @ GVWR @ 20% 2,080#
Numbers could work with a F150 Max/Max

Truck stops the truck, trailer stops the trailer.

EXCEPT that Ford only offers the Max Payload Package in the 156.8" wheelbase SuperCrew. The 156.8" wheelbase includes the 6.5' bed. The Max Payload package is not available with the 145" wheelbase which is the only SuperCrew configuration that has the 5.5' bed. So the maximum payload available with a 3.5 EcoBoost is 2030 pounds and the maximum payload available with the 5.0L is 2080 pounds.

Yes, there are F150's that can "manage the pin weight" but the one they show in that U-Tube isn't capable of handling the 2080 pin weight you give (unless you don't have any other cargo and only the driver (can't weigh more than 150 pounds)..... To get the pin weight that low they moved the axles forward... I'd hate to back that thing into a tight space.... imagine the swing that thing has..

1st thing noticed is the axels are about mid-point. Backing ~ even a tight right will swing that rear out. It looks to be around 32' +/- and looks to have a swing as wide as my 43' 5er. Not so sure I like that hitch either,,, just my choice.

The only thing I got out of it was that the RV would work being pulled with a 5.5 ft bed truck with the pinbox that came with it from the factory and be able to turn 90 degrees. He never said it could be safely towed behind that particular truck, just that it had a 5.5 ft bed and could turn 90 degrees.

I Liked the comments section below the utube. I believe it was #2 post the guy says yeah ford says it can tow it. "I have it and going over bumps in the roadway the truck loses control while towing a 5er. Even after air bags and LT tires". Something to that effect. I understand not everyone makes comments that are 100% correct but, there may be some truth in his comment.

This comment, didn't say he lost control, just that it bounced, maybe he needed new shocks, air bags are just more spring, they are not dampening devices.

I had this exact same truck and camper and although it is true that the trailer is within the tow /payload capacity of the truck and can be towed safely, there should be some mention of caution if you plan on towing this rig on long trips. My experience towing this rig from Memphis TN to Grand Lake CO was that every time I went over an overpass or dip in the highway, the truck would bounce severely. Even after adding airbags and stiffer L/T tires the bouncing over less than smooth surfaces was just too much so I traded up to a 3/4 ton truck.
