Does anyone have any experience with The Range Hood Upgrade Kit? The fan and light in our 337FLS is weak and dim at best.

Kahuna, I have written a number of time concerning the upgrade kit you speak of. It was seriously the best $199 we spent on the Raptor. It is very quiet, very bright, moves ALOT of air, easy to install. Maybe two hours of fooling around is about it. I could do another in 45 minutes now that I've done one. PM me if you need more info.

THANKS for your insight!!! Looks like I know what "Manny the RV" is getting for Christmas this year.

We installed the upgraded vent conversion kit on our Cougar. I agree with Jim, it was one of the best upgrades we've done. It was fairly easy to install, didn't take a lot of tools or time, but follow the instructions carefully on the exterior vent installation, especially the foam gasket.

Before the mod, we never used the vent fan, it was just too loud. Now, we sometimes turn it on low, just to help move the air through the trailer cabin, even if we aren't using the stove for cooking.

Yup, that's the kit. One of the best upgrades we've done and, in my opinion, worth every nickel of the $199 price. Believe it or not, with the LED lights that are part of the kit, you can actually see what's in a pot or skillet on the stove....

Yes, that is the kit he referred to. I might add that I did not change the exterior vent on our installation. Everything fit as planned so whoever owns the RV now has a spare.
