We are still using our camper planning a trip over thanksgiving in it to a KOA in Shepeardsville Ky. Was wondering about when i get back and winterize it probably best to remove the tv out of it.

I was wondering how the temps would effect the tv with the differences going back and forth. I don’t believe that im going with a cover either i have read where it may be more harm than good. Came from a popup that stayed in my garage to a 30 ft travel trailer that will be stored outside just making sure im covering all points on this jewel

Fred, what Chip ^^^^ said. No need to remove the TV. Dealers all over the country leave the TV's in the units through the entire year. We have a big screen TV on our patio (yes, covered) and the last one made nine years before a few lines showed up on the screen.

I pulled the 2 TVs out the first year, but after talking to and wandering RV forums, decided they wouldn't be hurt - and they haven't been.

Speaking of winterizing late - I often procrastinate and do it about now. Glad I did it early this year as it was 13*F an hour ago.

I lock my trailer up in the back yard about 20' from the house, and near the motion sensor spotlights. I've never had a problem yet. (Knock on wood!)

If I had to park it at a storage lot, I definitely would remove the valuables.

The 19 inch RCA LCD I put in was thermally protected , i believe all LCD TV's are ,easy to check owners manual

Most LCD/LED/Plasma TV owner's manuals recommend allowing them to stabilize at room temperature before applying power. We store our Cougar in the pole barn (unheated) and the TV's get as cold as the rest of the trailer (this morning was 4F, today is expected to "top 29F" so our TV's are subjected to some fairly cool temps, and have never had any damage. . Same with the Springdale. We just don't apply power until they have had a day or two of "comfortable spring temps". If we do decide to use the trailer for a "winter trip south", I unplug the TV's as a part of getting the trailer ready, that way when we do plug in shore power, we don't power up the TV's. I plug them in once we reach our destination and the trailer has been heated for 24 hours or so. We've never had a "TV problem" with our LCD/LED TV's doing it this way.
