As the title says, which is the better choice and why, the 5th air Bourne or trail air? Personally I like the Reese unit so far.

We can't see what you are towing so we won't have a viable opinion.
Edit: I picked up on your other post that you'll be towing a 361 LEV Raptor. We see more Mor/Ryde than any of the others on large fifth wheels.

I have the Rota-flex on my Raptor from the factory. I had one on another RV also and they seem to do a good job. I've not had an air ride but I do like the design of the Reese over the Lippert.

I just seen a Reese on ebay for $499 with free shipping that says its new and all working. Just need to make sure it will work on your RV. Item #232305109685

Most of our customers prefer the trail air. We have installed many and have had zero complaints.

I have had both and I prefer the trail air. Better ride in my opinion.

Regardless of which way you may go, keep a check on both EBay and CL for a bargain. I purchased a new $1000 hitch (retail) for $350 on EBay. Trailair. Just need to get it installed now.

The supposedly latest greatest is the TrailAire FlexAire it has the bottom plate like the RotoFlex or MorRyde & did away with the bottom sliding plate. s
Some have replace the TriGlide with the FlexAire due to the rollers on the sliding plate breaking.
