12 volt outlet

Hello,
Wondering if anyone knows if the 2018 passport 239mlwe has a 12 volt outlet near the television or at all? Would like to be able to use an inverter to watch tv without running generator. I just got the unit and was put in storage right away, so can’t check right now. I want to be ready to go for the spring.

Our cougar has one in the bedroom also usb port for charging phone.it is a 2016 so they probably all have them .

In many of the units, there's a tv antenna connection in the bedroom that also has the amp for OTA antenna. There's a little pushbutton or slide switch and an LED indicator light. "Usually", there is also a standard automotive 12vdc outlet. It all looks something like this:

A word of caution, depending on the current requirements for your TV on 110vac, you may need an inverter that is going to pull too much current for this wall outlet. You will have to look at the TV's ratings and match it to an inverter that will adequately supply the TV. Then you'll know how much the inverter will pull. If it's more than 15 amps, the inverter definitely needs to be on a separate circuit. Usually there are spare slots in the fuse block for this.

Also, unless you have a large battery bank, watching TV powered by an inverter is going to drain your batteries a lot faster than you might think. You will have to find a happy medium on electricity consumption when running on 12vdc only. Remember that the fridge and propane detectors are a constant draw. Add to that any lights you use and the water pump. If it's cool or cold weather, the furnace will pull a lot of 12vdc, too. Even the HW heater draws a bit of 12vdc for its control circuitry.

There are dozen of threads here on battery conservation waiting to be read. Your question may seem to be a simple one, but when you look at all the issues around 12vdc operation, it's not. And all of it matters.

Thanks for all the info. I guess this is not as simple as I had first thought. I will be running two 6 volt batteries in the rig, which should give me plenty of power. I’ll have to do more research on all of this.

I use a 140w plug in inverter to run my 19” TV and DVD, works great, no problems at all. I have two 6v batteries and a 160w solar panel on the roof.
