I have 2018 Keystone Cougar 30rls, some SOB broke into my truck and got all the keys to my trailer. What can I do?? Can I get replacements keys for everything or have to buy new locks??

I would change the locks. Knowing someone else can get into MY stuff like be enough for me to change. If your compartments are the CH751, that’s a common key so no real need to change it. If your coach has everything “keyed alike” then the low life can get into everything.

Door lock sets aren’t that expensive compared to what you could lose if he got inside your trailer.

Yup, and while you're at it, order the door lock sets keyed to the same key, and get lock cylinders that use that same key to replace all the CH751 cylinders on your outside storage compartments. I did that on mine, one key for everything, and no more generic CH751 cylinders that everyone in the campground has the key for.

Where do you buy new locks and keys?

Used them also, I had lost one our my sets of keys, and found it really wasn't much more expensive to replace the whole lockset, instead of just buying a new set of keys. Plus, I got a unique lock, instead of just the few numbered sets that 99% most RVs have.

I can also say I have done the same thing and used that same company. Good to deal with and decent prices. The only thing with a 751 key on my RV is the water tank fill door.

Personally I don't really understand the purpose of having both entries keyed different, its not like you can't go from one area to the other after you get inside! That's crazy!

Any good locksmith can make additional keys.

I also second RV Locks and More for a replacement lockset

I looked at that website .. it seems like it designed for a dealership.

Plus it looks like it’s replacing the cylinder. Do I just order a set of keys and a few cylinders to replace my door locks and compartment locks as wells as the 751 locks..

If this is wrong please can someone dumb it down for me

I called this company and spoke to David. He was very helpful. Basically, it's $24 for a complete lockset, and $8 for a barrel replacement. They can key all entry doors and hatch door the same if you so choose.

The one hitch is to replace the barrel in the entry doors will require the "YELLOW KEY". I was told they only sell that special key to dealers or locksmiths. So need to enlist the "pro" for door barrel replacement.

All in all, David was extremely patient and helpful!

Hope this helps,
Mike

I just recently purchased the "yellow key" at https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-GLOBAL-LINK-YELLOW-KEY-PLUG-PULLER-SERVICE-REKEYING-TOOL-/222532711574?hash=item33cffbb496. It's a little expensive for a key but I figured it was cheaper than paying for a locksmith to do it. Fast delivery and it worked perfectly to change out to new cores purchased from RV Locks and More.

AaronThat's what I did, it was still cheaper than replacing both complete locksets (which also seemed wasteful to me), and now I have the key for any future needs.

Before I found the eBay option, I had talked to a local locksmith; told them if they would order the change key (yellow key), I'd pay for it and let them keep it after I used it to change my locks.

Having all doors and hatches keyed the same is so nice! I even converted a couple of my hatches that weren't lockable from the factory (Keystone saving a few more pennies ). Another bonus is every cylinder you buy comes with a key, so you'll have plenty of spares!
