I believe that my break controller is starting to fail. I started noticing this summer of not having much trailer brakes. I've been tweaking the breaks, but the controller doesn't seem to retain the setting, and I have to adjust every time I go out.

I currently have a Tekonsha Voyager. I know not the best break controller on the market, but it was what was installed by my dealer when I purchased my first camper 10 years or so ago.

If I were to replace the break controller, is there a preferred controller on the market?

Thanks

Daryl

Have you made sure the brakes on your trailer brakes (unsure if you've tweaked only the controller) are operating correctly before concluding it's the brake controller?

In a simple word- Prodigy. IMO the BEST on the market for the price.

If you put a lot of miles on your trailer, then it may not be the controller, your brakes may just need adjusting. they are most likely NOT self adjusting.

I guess it could be the trailer brakes. I have not had them checked. I'll put that on my to-do list.

Thanks
