Well, you may be an Oldie, a Goodie, a Newbie or a badge carrying member of the Weight Police, but for sure you may have questions about how this Forum thing is supposed to work. Well, here's your chance to ask all those questions that have been lurking around in the back of your grey matter. Ask away. This could be a lot of fun or it may go completely bust. Either way, it is a way to have some fun. First and only rule: Play Nice! That's an order.

I don't know; this could almost be a catchall instead of using the appropriate categories.

On the other hand, I do have many questions wandering around in the back of my grey matter; why isn't my investment guy making me 20%?? Why are the utilities on my houses so high? Taxes? Is my Ram going to make 100k?

Lots of questions floating around in the background but I'm not sure I should put them out here

I'm sure there are some questions some will want to ask that don't fit in a category so I'll keep watching...:D Good Luck.

Because FORD didnt make any Diesel engines including the 7.3...

Until 2011 when FORD started make the Scorpion engine 6.7L V8.

As a certified member of the weight police I believe that would bust your CGVW:nonono: Unless of course you are using a diesel 1 ton TV that's a Ford, or was that Dodge or GM? Maybe that should have been a gasser 3/4 ton. I forget, anyway the important thing is that's it's a Fiver, or was that a TT, or was that a toy hauler? And it's absolutely essential that the unit is riding on Maxis, Salium, Carslis, Goodyears? Oh, and it MUST have a 50 amp connection for 2, 3, whatever ac units. And how many batteries was that? Was that 6 or 12 volt batteries? So many decisions!:banghead: Problem is, not enough folks on here are passionate enough about their opinions.

I think we should open the floor for further debate on the unanswered age old questions... Coke or Pepsi? Plain or peanut M&M's? Cable or dish? Dry camp or CG? Cloth or disposable diapers? Disposable plates or wash plates? Microwave or over the fire popcorn?

Chuckster, Thank you for the offer; that would be great. I'm typically hesitant to try something out that I don't know what it does or how it works.

Many moons ago I was a programmer (FORTRAN) but I never got into using most of these fancy new communication methods available on these "portable computers" that masquerade as phones. For years I avoided getting a phone that was smarter than me! (In fact for years I avoided getting a cellular phone at all; I left that to the DW). It is interesting that my adult nieces and nephews don't "talk" with us by phone - we must text them - they'll respond to that. And I need them to show me what to do the first time with many things on the phone! Makes me feel like a technological troglodyte sometimes.

In the late 70's while in college and taking fluid dynamics I think, instead of hand calculating plots to determine temperature and pressure distribution within distillation columns, I wrote a Fortran program to do the calculation and print out contour plots showing the individual plates within the column. Had to use punch cards of course. Instructor didn't like the approach and said that computer plots are not accurate enough! I should have quit school and sold the program.

I have to admit, this is the weirdest thread I've ever seen on this forum......so my little contribution.....from memory of course....

Crest has been shown to be an effective decay preventative dentifrice when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care

The American Counsel of Dental Therapeutics....American Dental Association!

Hey, I had to have something to read while I was brushing my teeth!

maybe the weirdest, but most likely the longest "non RV" thread to date.

Not only can I, I do.

As I get older, I realize:

#1 - I talk to myself, because there are times I need expert advice.

#2 - I consider "On Trend" to be the clothes that still fit.

#3 - I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off.

#4 - My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance for idiots that needs work.

#5 - The biggest lie I tell myself is, "I don't need to write that down. I'll remember it."

#6 - I have days when my life is just a tent away from a circus.

#7 - These days, "on time" is when I get there.

#8 - Even duct tape can't fix stupid - but it sure does muffle the sound.

#9 - Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes, then come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller?

#10 - Lately, I've noticed people my age are so much older than me.

#11 - "Getting lucky" means walking into a roomand remembering why I'm there.

#12 - When I was a child, I thought nap time was punishment. Now it feels like a mini vacation.

#13 - Some days I have no idea what I'm doing out of bed.

#14 - I thought growing old would take longer.

#15 - Aging sure has slowed me down, but it hasn't shut me up..

#16 - I still haven't learned to act my age.

Have A Great Day

Why do people use investment counselors? If those folks were really good, they would be rich and RV-ing full time instead of working.

Are you aware if this?
Statistics show that in 1940 each car on the road had an average of 2.2 persons; in 1999 it was 1.4. At this rate, by 2020 every third car on the road will be empty.

also, and since many of us are retired: The trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off.

If you see a truck pulling a trailer that's labeled helium how is it kept from floating? We encountered one last week and 'assumed'that it was empty.

Dang but you must be as old (or more so) then me!!!

Then there was that semi dog legging it with a broken trailer along almost two full lanes of I-81 and I-84 in PA today that was holding up traffic for miles. He did that!!

Armstrong Tire was purchased by Pirelli Tire in 1989. And yes, I am old most days. Just got back from a trip to northern Newfoundland with DW and the pooch, 6,040 miles. It reminded me that I am 69 years old. (Yes, on the Roadking)

Younker - not quite as ancient as I have gotten but .....

No experience with Pirelli tires so far but had Armstrong rhinos way back in the day.

Not made it that far North but have 'done' Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia/Cape Breton as well as New Brunswick (actually was in NB last month again as a part of running up the Maine Coast with the 5er).

MadMax, I don't see a problem if you simply tow with the rear slide completely extended. All heavy cargo (Yes, DW included) should be moved to the extended slide (not the LP bottles) and that way you'll be close to negative tongue weight.

Is there a veteran's thread on here?

From what I've seen there isn't one. However, many of us are Veterans and have mentioned our service at one point or another.

2016 Passport GT 2810BHS, 2016 F350 CC DRW

There is not a "Veteran's Social Group" on this forum, however if anyone is interested in starting one, all you'd need to do is click on the "COMMUNITY" tab in the header bar on any forum webpage, a menu will open, select "SOCIAL GROUPS", a list of social groups will open. At the bottom of that page, click on "START A NEW GROUP".

Or, go here: http://www.keystoneforums.com/forums/group.php

NOTICE: I just found out that madmaxmutt has created a veteran's social group in that section of the forum. Anyone who is interested in joining the group of reading the comments from members of the group can do so at: http://www.keystoneforums.com/forums/group.php?groupid=79

Enjoy if you're interested. Membership is free (just like this forum) and open to all members.
