Valterra vs. Camco

Went to Wally-world to pick up a 45 deg. clear sewer piece. I'm using Valterra (yellow end) hoses and fittings. When I put the Camco (orange end) fitting on the rig, I leaked like a sieve... They look the same, but don't seem to mate well... anyone else have this problem? Thank G-D it was grey stuff...!

My Valterra (Yellow connector) hoses are in good shape, but 4 yrs old with no problems. What is their life expectancy?

Valterra or Camco??? If I'm replacing anything... or everything?

Make sure that fitting has the O-ring seal. Occasionally they get lost/fall out. I have mostly the Valterra clear fittings and Camco hoses and no leaks. I even have a couple spare seals which I've found at campground dumps
