I'm sure you will get all kinds of opinions but I installed a Dometic Penguin II low profile in the bedroom. It is non ducted. We have been very happy with it.

Thank you! Appreciate it. I'll have to look into it. There are so many options out there to choose from. Doesn't make it easy to narrow our search down.

I installed an Atwood Air Command 15k non ducted and I love it. It comes with a heat pump. Perfect for taking the chill out without running the propane. It heats the bedroom as warm as you want it. Combine that with the fireplace in the living room and I rarely need the furnace in the fall. Also has a remote control. Air Command has since been bought by Dometic.

What size is your 5er, and what is the normal outside temps where you camp?
We installed slide toppers this spring and noticed that we had far less issues keeping the 5er cool, they greatly reduce the heat gain through the slides roofs.

I have a 34 pet 5th wheel. First ac is 15k btu
I'm hoping with the slide covers and second ac it will help. Here in central CA it's average 100 plus degrees in the summer and 80 degrees late fall.
