Does anyone have a suggestion on where the best place to mount a progressive EMS-HW50C on a 305RL high country? There does not seem to be any wiring diagrams available online.

Mine is only a 30 amp trailer, but I installed the EMS in the space behind the load center / panel.

I cut the power cord to the panel, leaving enough to put the EMS in-between.

I have read of others putting them in the basement, near where the power enters the coach.

Placing mine where I did allowed me to have the remote display in a convenient, easy to wire location. I also installed an additional AC outlet, with 2 USB power ports.

Typically there is a cabinet behind the fuse/breaker panel with enough space to mount it. That's also an easy place to mount since you just disconnect the wires going to the breaker panel, connect those to the surge protector and then run a short jumper from the SP to the panel.

Mounting it in the cabinet is one option. Here's another. Go into the basement and remove the wall facing the rear of the HC. Just a few screws and it comes right off. You'll see a mess of wiring and plumbing but there is a lot of space in which to mount it on the floor. That's where I mounted mine in my High Country 310. After mounting, I fished the remote display cable from the utility cabinet (where all the controls are located) down into the basement and plugged it in. It was the logical place to mount it inside that cabinet and no wires showing inside the cabinet. Hope this helps.
