Flush Valve Problems

So today I tried to flush our toilet and water would go into the bowl but the flush valve that you can see in the bowl wouldn't open. When you push the foot pedal all the way down nothing happens but the bowl filling with water. We're camping and about 1 hour away from the nearest dealership. We are hoping to fix it ourselves. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? TIA!

What brand/ model toilet? Most likely a long linkage has fallen off or broken.

Dometic 310-320 series I believe

If the linkage is intact, the flush valve is bad. I just had to replace mine.. It's an easy repair..
