Hey everyone, I'm new or the forum and new to the RV world, my family and I are uprgrading from a 74 13ft boler.. possibly to a 2011 cougar 325srx toyhauler! I'm really excited about it but I am also nervous. The camper is 1200km away and I only got a friend to look at it two days ago (I trust him 100% when he says it's a nice camper) when he was passing through the area, worked out great. He said it is great inside, just needs a good was on the outside. I slept on it for two nights (hardly) and I am going to transfer the money this after noon to hold it! Unless anyone out there has a reason I should not purchase this year and model?. Everything I have read has been positive.

Now here is the obstacle I need to overcome.

My 2013 GMC Sierra 3500 has a 6 inch lift with 37 inch tires. I have been researching for 3 months since I purchased it on lifting the 5th wheel so it rides level. I have my 1A license pm big trucks and long trailers are not a problem for me. I'm aware of the breaking problems with larger tires, going to upgrade, I'm aware that the centre of gravity moves up, I'm aware that this is NOT necessary to do, what I am asking for is if anyone knows a good place in Kelowna BC to get the trailer fabricated for myself so I can tow it home? Or if anyone else has done this and has some good ideas for me? Thanks everyone !

Sorry can't speak to a fab shop in BC, but someone will be along soon with a suggestion. In the meantime,

My 326SRX already sits pretty high, but rides level behind my Dodge with stock suspension. Raising your 325 anymore might make it a bad tow. Plus, if you have a trailer height limit in Canada, your trailer will exceed the limit, if its 13'6" like it is here in the States. Something to consider...

I wouldn't buy anything sight unseen, you're just asking for problems no matter how much you trust your buddy.:whistling: Go see it, take a very long look at it and go over everything with a fine tooth comb!
BTW welcome to the forum.:)

The height right now is only 11'6 . Some new trailer are already close to 13. Thanks for the reply!

Could you let me know the height above the truck box rails when towing? I think it should be around 64inches ? Thanks!

I would comfirm the height. My 326SRX, with roof AC, is very close to the limit of 13'6". The basic difference between the 325/326 is that the 325 has a dinette that encroaches into the garage area.

Welcome to the forum and the RV world! I have a 325srx, granted it's a 2013, but I'm right at 13'6" so that might be something to confirm. We love ours, it's really the perfect layout for us, and so far there are only a few minor issues. Might be worth the drive, just to see it for yourself, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the RV life. Enjoy!

Will do, thank you, you wouldn't happen to know the height of the camper 5th wheel part over your box rails when you are hooked up? Or anyone else? My bod is 60" high, I'm sure it will come down when I hook up. Just curious on the clearance from the truck to the camper. Thanks

Also I checked the height of the 2013, it's the same as the 10, 156" (13ft) so I have room to raise it if needed, I am going 4" I'm thinking. Does anyone know if there is holes on the shackle part for adjusting at all?

Also when you are hooked up what is the height from the ground to the caper over the truck? Thanks so much.

Would you happen to be able to let me know the height of the camper from the ground to the 5th wheel part over your truck box when hooking up, before you let weight onto the truck. If that makes sense lol

Thank you! Does yours sink down a few inches and ride fairly level?
