Hi Everyone;

Recently retired, open roads and family beckon.

We are new to the Keystone RV Forums. We had a 1994 26ft TravelAire 5th wheel and have just upgraded to a 2016 Cougar 22RBIWE Travel Trailer, through a private purchase. Thinking already of another upgrade to a new Cougar 5th Wheel. Should we... should we not.... should we... should we not.

Our truck is a 2013 GMC 2500 short box, extended cab, V8. Delightful truck.

Just learning all the ins and outs on the new Travel Trailer.

Greatly appreciate all the postings by people on the forums and have found many helpful things already.

Congrats on your new Cougar !! Enjoy !!

Yeap, RV upgrades seem to always be in the future and can be fun unless your current TV can not handle it. Continually updating both can put a strain on the budget.

Be Safe and Happy Camping. :camping:

Welcome to the forum from Kansas City, MO! Enjoy your new rig! Be sure if you upgrade to a 5th that its weight matches your trucks numbers on your stickers.

Welcome to the forum :wlcm:

My guess is after owning a fifth wheel and now pulling a bumper pull, it wont be long before you miss how much easier the fivers pull. Anyway, wnjoy

Welcome to the forum and enjoy your retirement. I am biased - fifth wheels are nice to tow. Just need to consider the pin weight and the capacity of the tow vehicle.

I have a 2015 22rbiwe and cant find any specs on it that are accurate. Does yours have 2 slides and a pass through storage. Also my data stickers are worn off on the side of my trailer. Is it possible for you to take a pic of yours and send them to me. My email is [email protected]

When posting to a thread and are addressing your question or comment to a specific member, click on their username and then their profile and it will show the last time they were on the forum. The OP in this case hasn't been on since 2017 so not likely to see your query or send you an email.

If there is somewhere on the forum a document listing suggested things for a new RV owner to do, I would add "take clear photos of every sticker on the body."

I had a shop perform a ceramic coating job on my rig last year, and in the process, they buffed nearly every bit of type off my VIN and tire stickers, including the VIN itself. Unlike the manufacturer of my previous rig (when the skin panel carrying the sticker needed to be replaced for damage), Keystone was not willing to issue me a duplicate sticker.

Through great good fortune, I had a very clear photo of both those stickers that I took when I was doing weight-police calculations to buy a new TV, so I have a duplicate of those stickers taped to the inside of my pass-thru door. (The bottom sticker was just a warning that formaldehyde gives California the vapors, which wasn't worth reproducing.)
