I have a problem with my tail lights on my Cougar. The solid green wire that feeds the amber (front lights) is OK. The green with white stripe that feeds rear red lights has the short. These 2 wires are in the junction box on the TT tongue. Does anyone know the routing of this feed wire before I tear the whole bottom coroplast off. Have taken all bulbs out of the back end. So I have determined the problem is the feed wire that has a direct short to ground. Thanks for any info.

Saw this video about shorted wires, thought maybe the Shot Tester would help
you track down the short without taking alot of the trailer apart.

Thanks for the interesting video. Not sure this would work on an RV because most of the wires are buried inside the walls. This neat gadget is more for automotive work. Anyway I found my short after many frustrating hours. A screw was put through the wiring harness and eventually wore through the white ground and green hot very nicely joining the 2 wires. Needless to say it was inside the wall. I can tell you I was almost ready to burn my red seal certificate. Persistance does pay off. :D
