Slight electrical shock whe touching frame.

We are prepping our trailer for an upcoming trip and plugged into shore power. I went to drain a little water from my fresh water tank and when I leaned against the frame I noticed a slight shock sensation. It was very mild but constant and strong enough to be noticed. Could this be a grounding issue? Anyone ever notice this before?

It's called "hot skin" and yes it usually is a grounding issue.

Thank you. After reading up on this hot skin, I found that reverse polarity wiring can be a cause of the hot skin. It made me recall our home inspection from when we purchased our home. The inspector noted that several outlets had reversed polarity. I thought we had fixed all of them but realized that I missed the one on the side of the house which is where we plug our trailer in.

This is why I love this forum...because of the wealth of knowledge that all of you are able to share.
