I have two Grey Tanks but have three Grey tank valves. Its obvious what the first two are. Galley tank and bathroom tank.. but the 3rd smaller valve, what is its purpose? nothing ever comes out of it.

all help appreciated.

Could one of those be your fresh water drain? You didn't say if you were on city water or your fresh water tank for water source.

ctbruce, thanks for your reply.. i wish i knew how to post a picture. this small Grey valve ties directly into the Main dumping connection. its about 1 1/2"pipe that comes from the direction of the bathroom. I know I have two grey tanks and when i dump them my gauges zero out. this one looks like it could be some sort of vent.. BTW, i have located the fresh water drain which is near the back... Im still a newbie trying to figure this stuff out.. seems like they would have better manuals. thanks again.

Do you have washer/dryer hookups in your trailer?

Do you have washer/dryer hookups in your trailer?I do not have a unit with a washer but I find this interesting just the same. I'd have to assume the theory for this smaller grey valve is to allow the washer to dump directly out when one is permanently stationed at a sight with waste access and only at that time doe's one run their washer. Am I in the ball park ?

That sounds feasible. Is Your unit set up for W/d?

the valve I am referring to is the one on the left.

I would think the valve on the left is the galley tank. The farthest one back is the black tank and the middle one is bathroom grey tank.

If it helps, the grey tanks are going to drain through 1 1/2" pipes, the black tank will have a 3" drain pipe. Three tanks, three valves, I'm not seeing an issue here. Am I missing something?

Also, one of the valves may have been mislabeled.

Not a science project, just need some water and there will be no guessing as to what is what. Pour water in and pull valves to see when water comes out. Like to keep it simple :ermm:
