Hello,

I have issues of propane coming trough the vent ,( #30 red regulator,) and the top,( soapy water confirmed it, If I shut the tank off, and use the primary regulator, to the other tank, ( I have a Cougar 289 , tanks are on each side,) will that shut off the back flow to the #30 red, I have heard there is a slight flow, is that true or not,

Thanks

If your regulator is operating correctly, and you have set the "switch" to the proper side, then there shouldn't be any backflow.

We had to replace the 30# regulator on our Cougar (about $15) - gas kept disappearing from the L/H tank. The parts guy at the RV dealer in Seabeck, WA told us he sells/they have replaced a number of them. Don't remember the brand name of the one we removed but the new one is made by Marshal. Easy to change - just be sure to use yellow teflon tape.
