Anyone successfully connect satellite tv through the single outside coax outlet at the rear of the trailer? Trying to figure out if I can plug and play or if I'll need to make mods.

If the outside connection is for "park cable" then satellite won't work. Satellite needs a straight run of RG6 to work properly. You could add a coax connection and route the RG6 to a coax out by the tv. Others have fed the sat feed through the seal of a slide. If you don't have a slide, then you may be able to find a different point of entry.

Yes, the coax outside for "park cable." I like the slide idea, I hadn't thought of that.

If by chance that outside connection (cable) runs to a location where your booster switch is and your TV a simple mod will enable you to use that same run for both cable and satellite. If interested I could provide a sketch, would require another coaxial connector and a short coaxial jumper.

Yeah anything would be helpful. Thanks!

I think my RIPR has a short jumper behind the TV for this purpose. Have not tried it. But I think it is direct to the jumper from the park Jack . If you remove the panels in the pantry next to the TV you will find a gray cable. I think that is used to tell the difference between antenna and sat.
I have a tester, I will test it tomorrow.

I'll check that out as well. Thanks.

Assuming the ant booster and your TV are all in the same area this is a simple fix. Hopefully you can see the picture. basically what you are doing is opening the existing cable from the outside to the ant booster and adding a two connection plate, a section of cable going to the ant booster, and a short jumper.

As long as the coax is RG6 it should work. Common coax for non sat is RG56

I recently dropped the belly pan and found some more coax connectors under the TV slide. When I was installing the camera and other things I found a lot of wires that were damaged by the rotozip during install.

There were others also and I've made bad coax connections before.
