Heating Issue

In our 2013 Keystone Bullet, the Dometic thermostat is displaying an E1 error code which the manual says means "Loss of communication between the Single Zone LCD thermostat and the module board." The heater, the air, and the fan don't work. Do we need to take this to a dealer to be fixed?
Update: we just took the trailer to the dealer for the recall on air conditioning and we're wondering if that caused the error message to be triggered. We'll call them Monday but in the meantime, we're interested to hear some of your ideas ---

I recall a few posts in the past that reference the E1 error . Do a search on "E1 Code" here is one thread, others are out there.

Posts point to a possible orange wire in the JB. There is another post addressing same error on a Domestic single zone thermostat. At a minimum information on this error

Thanks for your answers. We read all of the articles and were able to correct this without taking the trailer to the dealer.
