Newbies from Jersey

So the wife and I purchased a new 2016 Fuzion 371 5th Wheel Toy Hauler which we pull it with our Silverado 2500HD Duramax Diesel in which I installed a 5K auto compressor air bag kit for extra adjustable suspension :). As a former Scoutmaster I've been camping for over 30 years but this is our first RV for "Glamping" :dance:. We picked it up in June 2016 and promptly on our first outing with it, I caught a small broken branch leaving the dump station and rippled about 12 feet of the rubber roof...OUCH :facepalm:! After getting it patched the rest of the remaining camp outs for 2016 were less dramatic :marshmallow: but a valuable lesson was learned...look up as well as down ;). With a new roof on the new RV we have been doing OK so far this year, but still learning new things everyday. Truly wish we'd gotten one years sooner :campfire:!

Welcome from Virginia. :wlcm: Yes, do look, up, down, around, over, under, and in between. You never know what is hiding and waiting to attack you. Also when backing up remember to keep track of where the front of your truck is at all times. Enjoy your new "toy". :)

Glad you're enjoying the new rig, but OUCHIE on the roof issue! I bet you guys were heartbroken. So glad you were able to get it fixed and continue camping with no other problems. That was definitely a lesson learned the hard way. :(
