Age is but a number. Some days I'm 30 and others I'm a whole lot older.

According to my birth certificate, I will be 60 in may, DW turned 60 in February. Always had a thing for older women :smitten:

You know, I like this little post. We all sit here shooting stuff back and forth and in our minds we sort of "imagine" who the poster might be. For me it's nice to know if I'm talking to an older person or someone just getting their wings. Anyway, it seems kind of cool to me.
Thanks.

http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/angry/angry-old-man-smiley-emoticon.gif (http://www.sherv.net/) Like Jack Benny, I'm 39. I never had a 50th birthday, at 49 I had "un-birthdays" for 10 years, then had "non-birthdays" for 10 more, until my DD caught up with me and we became "twins". We celebrated our 39th together (me with a number of "practice runs"). Since that "twindom" occurred, we've celebrated our 39th several times.....

As for DW, let's just say that she cooks as good (actually better) than grandma ever did and that's more than I should say about her age. Now I've got to be careful she doesn't see this !!! http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/fighting/frying-pan-smash.gif (http://www.sherv.net/)

Have two kids also. Got rid of the bunkhouse when they got to the age they didn't want to come anymore. Then they got past that age and to the age they wanted to start coming again so now they were sleeping on the floor or couch. Looked at bunkhouses again but nothing was satisfactory, plus they now had boyfriends/girlfriends that they wanted to bring along. So now I have a BIG "bunkhouse" with two queen beds in the back. It should suffice for awhile. :D

Both of us are in our early 40's. And I guess I can claim to have my husband's last name for more years now than I had my own that I was born with. :) Even though we don't have a bunkhouse, the kids have full-size bunk beds and a curtain, but we sure haven't had any complaints other than "when do we get to go camping again?"

(I have to admit though, in a few years when the kiddos are grown up, I have my eye on a Cougar with a cleopatra couch, and no bunks)

37 DW 36, 3 kids and a dog in the bunk house. Good representation I guess. Seems to side a little with the older crowd. No wonder the scoldings on weight and tires get so heated. Good to see other 30-40s in the mix. Camping is on the rise for sure... my camping group went from (2 rigs) my in-laws and us 10 years ago to about (12 rigs) of our closest friends and some of their parents and in-laws. Think we have 9 going this weekend and 13 for Father's Day. Ages 3months-67.

I also have "borrowed" your saying. About a week ago we were looking at a new Alpine and the sales lady was expounding on how many the RV would sleep if you slipped the babies into drawers, kids on the countertop, adults in chairs and on the floor (you get my drift) and I told her, Huh uh, "Drinks for 6, Dinner for 4, Sleeps 2."
She laughed, said she had never heard that and that she understands. I doubt that's true; she's married with three kids of her own. Someday she'll understand!

Have been following this thread with a chuckle. Brings me to mind of a conversation I had with my grandmother on her 80th birthday probably about 25 years ago. We chatted about the changes she had seen in her life, ie cars and technology etc. Remember asking asking her how she felt at 80. Still recall her answer... "My body is old and feeble but my mind and soul is still 18".
