Wife and I just purchased a new Springdale 179QBWE, our third RV. Started with a self contained Lance Camper on my 89 Ford E250 4wd, sold the camper 3 years ago and bought a 26ft Wildwood. Sold that last month, and bought our current unit. Love the layout, and the ease with which my 2013 Ford E250 Super Duty pulls it.

We brought it home yesterday, and on running water into the fresh water tank to flush it, ran into our first problem, a leak that seems to be coming from where the fill hose enters the tank. I'll be looking for the appropriate forum section to post my questions regarding repair!

Thanks everyone. Called the dealer, talked to a service guy, sounds like a simple fix. Going to get after it this weekend.

:wlcm: aboard from Eastern PA.

Are hose clamps used to secure the fill tubes? Wouldn't hurt to check them for tightness.

That's what i'll be looking at. Looked like a crimp on, tech said to check that first.

Is it gravity fill or pressure fill requiring you to flip a valve to fill?

Pretty sure it's gravity, just shove the hose and turn it on.

Welcome to forum from your northerly neighbor. Great place to find answers, though don't violate your warranty trying to fix it yourself.
