Hi We haven't picked up our unit yet but I want to have a couple thins ready beforehand. One is mirror extensions for my 2016 silverado. I spotted a few online, but I was wondering if anyone has any preferences, success / not so good experiences etc. I would really appreciate any info. thanks for any help.

I used them on my GMC. They just snapped on over the factory ones. Worked a lot better than I expected.

I bought aftermarket extendable mirrors from A1Auto on line. Easy install. Good luck. Enjoy your new rig and the memories you'll make.

I use to use slip on type that then had a plastic screw that held them in place. Very sturdy and worked great. I found any that had straps or the like holding them on moved too much and did not give a clear view.

If you ever upgrade the truck, get electronic tow mirrors, they are the best.

I have a set almost identical to the ones geared posted. Worked much better than expected. And still working at least 5 years after purchasing .

My truck has electric extendable mirrors. I never bother anymore. I don't really find that they add anything to my vision.

When you get them there are a couple of YouTube videos about how to adjust them for optimal use. Highly recommend a search for them. Makes a world of difference.

I use CIPA custom tow mirrors on my 2016 Silverado... They work great, no movement or vibration. https://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Towing-Mirrors/Chevrolet/Silverado+1500/2016/CM10950.html?vehicleid=20164024875

I used CIPA slip on mirrors when I had my F150. They worked great, fit well and did not vibrate.
