I quickly got tired of hiking myself up on one leg and craning my neck to see into the bed of the truck when hitching up, so I started looking for a solution.
I saw license plate mount backup cam at CW but the cheapest was $150 on sale and only had a 2.6 inch screen. On the internet I found a Pyle cam with a 3.6 inch screen which looked a lot better for $90.
I mounted the camera just above the back window and connected it to the cargo lamp circuit so it would energize when the cargo lights were switched on.
I keep the screen in the center console storage ready to plug in when needed as I didn't feel the need to have it permanently mounted.
I have attached photos of the installation and the result.
