We have a 2010 Montana 3150RL that has a leaking kitchen faucet. I would like to replace it with a good Moen or Delta home type faucet. My question is will my present waterline fittings be the same size & thread as the new house type. in other words plug & play?

Never could figure out why they use those plastic ones. There is certainly no significant weight difference. Just saving another nickel, I guess.

Yes saving a nickel each when buying thousands adds up. Plastic verses metal they're probably saving over a buck each and that really adds up.

You may need some flexible risers as extensions if there is not enough slack in the PEX tubes.

Surprised that Montana would put a cheap plastic faucet in a trailer. Ours is a pull down spray all metal version but probably nary a repair kit available. With that said, I did use a 'garden variety' residential quality name brand single handle faucet in our last 5er to replace the plastic junk.

Just make sure that the pigtails below the counter will be long enough and hopefully are flexible instead of rigid that some supply.

Yes to shut offs. The current 5er will get them when (if?) I need to change faucets. You can use Shark Bite or similar fittings from Home Depot/Lowe's on PEX or copper

IMO shut offs at faucets are overkill. It's not like you need to keep water flowing everywhere else while you do a repair.

One of DW request, got a nice American Standard single post faucet with built in sprayer. I did go the extra mile and install shut offs.

Nice job on the faucet and water shut offs. One of the first mods I completed on my coach was to replace the 2 handle oem kitchen faucet with a single pull / sprayer combo. I've always preferred dual handles in the bathroom and a single pull in the kitchen.

Any problems with the sprayer when running on the pump? I think pumps tend to give lower pressure when running as compared to normal city pressure.

I have not seen any difference with the kitchen spray when connected to city water or the pump and FWT. Then again do not spend much time in kitchen other than eating :banghead:
