A quote from their website: "Won't leak or freeze"

The one that's currently on our Cougar was previously on our Springdale. It's 6 years old and has been exposed to Michigan's "sub-zero" temperatures every year. It still functions, isn't yellow (UV damage) and is reliable. That said, I built my own mount brackets, I didn't like the plastic ones that come with the level.

Most levels use some sort of alcohol or spirit in them. Hence the old term "Spirit Level". Although with how slow the ball in my Level master moves, I am betting it's some sort of glycol mixture. (Think antifreeze)
