Hi all

Looking to get my first TT.!

I have an opportunity to get the 2017 version of the following at $15,500 from a dealer.

Seems like OK deal. What do you think?

PS. The selling points for me are the larger-sized bunks, Murphy bed, not too long and construction sounds better than the sister version, Springdale.

I just did a quick search and this looks to be the same model at a lower price point. It may just give you a little more wiggle room when talking price!

I think the price is respectable. A quick search on the internet of the model in question resulted in an Idaho (https://soidrvmarine.com/2016-hideout-21lhswe/) dealer selling one for $15,300. Do a search on ebay for high volume dealers selling them online and inquire of their lowest price. Get several written quotes from local dealers and you may be able to test the sellers "lowest" pricepoint. Sometimes you can negotiate add-ons into the selling price like vent covers, vent fans, toppers, and accessories. The dealers know if your serious about buying and tend to have some wiggle room in their bottom line.

As far as quality, there seems to be always an ongoing thread with positive comments from members on their Hideout purchase. You'll find many of the materials used in the assembly process are the same among the different RV manufacturers. Same hired talent building these units too. Sometimes build quality and workmanship comes down to what day of the week the unit you buy will roll off the production line. A note worthy thought is that quality control in the RV manufacturing business is a fraction of what comprises the auto industry. Before taking delivery, a thorough walkthrough (or PDI) is not only recommended but required.

Thanks for replies.

I'll negotiate a little!

Busterbrown: I agree regarding build quality. Too bad it has to be that way but it's true.
