Coleman rvp w/remote issues

Coleman model 8333e876 070907515. With rvp remote. Control board number 9330-752.
Have 12v power going to control board, but nothing. The diagnostic light does not even come on. I'm assuming the board is bad.
The board is discontinued and hard to find. If I can find one they are $350.
I have the option to purchase a regular board and install regular thermostat. Although I'm concerned about having to run thermostat wire along ceiling and down wall. The unit is duced, so could thermostat be on wall close to the unit?
Any thoughts? Anyone have experience with this rvp remote? Any other diagnostics/troubleshooting I could do?

Update. As I assumed, it was the control board. Had my local rv guy replace board with wall thermostat controler, and installed wall thermostat. He was able to run cable inside wall. Very happy with results. Repair cost: $310.
The remote control board alone was priced $360. So this is the way to go.
