We were campimg for three days with five adults and three children and on the fourth day that we were leaving I noticed a leak from under the belly panel. I believe it is the black tank. We enptyed the black tank and flushed it out and the leak stoped. We have a 2013 Sprinter 324 fifth wheel. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes the factory fails to properly glue the vent stack pipe into the top of the tanks. That "might" be a source of a leak if the black tank was full. Another possibility is a "split tank" which doesn't happen very often since manufacturers started using "rotocast" tanks.

You didn't say whether the leak you saw was "smelly, black tank effluent" or not, but I'm guessing you've determined that the leak was from your black tank? Usually, if you notice the leak, the underside of your trailer is contaminated since the coroplast seals that area and any leak would be above the coroplast. You may want to do some "snooping" to see whether you've got a "big mess to clean up"....

Because you see fluid leaking under the trailer and after you emptied the black tank you did not see it again does not mean it might have leaked. Maybe alittle more information would help. Water can collect under the trailer on top of the belly pan from rain water driven into it while traveling or even parked. A/C run off could also. Even rain water while parked. That same water may have been pushed out as you drove to the dump site. So, if the fluid is for sure is black water, it may have leaked. Do you know for sure it was black water.

Had water leaking out of the belly, only seemed to happen when tank near full. I thought it may be the vent pipe. Ended up being a crack near the top of the tank. Luckily it was the galley gray tank and not the Black. Entire Gray Tank and attached piping replaced under extended warranty. Seems like when you get some water in that belly seems like forever to get it all out
