does my heater run propane even if im hooked up to electric?

Yes it does, unless you have a heater in your A/C unit.

Furnace is LP fired for the heat. 12V is needed for the fan and control circuitry. If your not plugged into shore power, and the battery(s) get weak enough, the fan won't turn fast enough to complete the circuit for LP ignition.

A/C units can have either a heat strip (if option is installed) or also function as a heat pump. Both of those operations require the proper unit, thermostat and 110V.

X2 Yes your main heater (Furnace) runs off propane, as stated some A/C units have this useless in any cold weather small coil and some a heat pump.

ok thanks another question though my tt is parked in my in driveway and electric is hooked up the thermostat is off does it still draw propane for the pilot lite or should i turn the gas off if i am not using it?

There is no pilot on that furnace. Most of the time my tanks are left on unless I have it stored for an extended period of time

If you use the propane regularly when it's sitting in your driveway you can leave the tank valves open, otherwise, ALWAYS turn off the propane tanks when stored.
