Within the last year so so there was a thread about a home-made devise to measure pinweight at home. It was a combination of 2xs and pipe and bathroom scales. Think there were some photos. Darned if I can find it with "search".

Any help?

I already know about CAT scales and such. I want to review it. Not so much as a UTUBE on it!

Since you want to do the king pin of a fifth wheel, I'm not sold on the idea of using this method for safety reasons.

Bartbill, the article refers to trailer tongue weight (<500 pounds) but fifth wheel pinweights can range up to 4000+ pounds. I don't know of bathroom scales that peak that weight. The items listed by chuckster67 could work but you would want to somehow secure the pin to the scale. Be safe!
