Hello, all. New to the forum. My 2013 303bhssr's water heater and outside lights (the large white and yellow light) weren't working when we left camp in the fall. In prep for return, and in the absence of any wiring diagrams, was hoping someone could tell me if there's a shared fuse or something I should look at. Fuse panel showed nothing blown.

Welcome,

There doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule for uniform wiring, but your lights should definitely be separate from your water heater, which should be fused alone.

Your problems are all 12v related, so the first step is fuses, which you've already checked. The next step is to buy or borrow a multi-meter, or at least a 12v test lamp, to check at the switch, and/or appliance/light. for voltage. A quick easy check on your lights is probably a different bulb. Just be sure to replace the lenses and gasket correctly. The water relief hole needs to be on the bottom. I would also check grounding, again using the meter or light.

I would seriously consider a test light, and a multi-meter, as well as spare fuses, and bulbs, as part of your onboard too kit.

Good Luck!

Let's start with the lights .... Do you have a remote control??? If lights were turned off with remote, use it to turn on. The amber "porch" light may have two switches ... one on the fixture and one on the wall inside. Or as mentioned may be on the same fuse.... just because they are not lit, does not mean the fuse is good

Water heater: needs 12v dc, 120v ac and or propane. There is a separate CIRCUIT BREAKER in the main panel for electric operation plus a safety rocker switch on the lower left corner of the unit itself. Also reset switches under the rubber boot next to the element. ( looks like two buttons but only one works)

Was the power turned on before the tank was filled with water???
Have you tried it on propane only????
The manual should have troubleshooting instructions.

Good luck, let us know what you find, Hank
