I had a 7' x 16' enclosed trailer before I bought the new Impact 303 at the end of October, and it sat on a gravel pad beside my detached garage. Obviously, the existing landing pad wasn't going to be big enough for the new trailer, so I had it enlarged last weekend and put some 4" x 6" treated lumber around it with black plastic under the gravel to help keep it weed free. Then, yesterday, a crew came out and erected my new 12' wide x 12' tall x 36' long carport, which be the parking spot for the trailer. Here are a couple of pics of the new gravel bed and carport.....

That is a really nice setup. Should be fun backing into it. I would need a couple of spotters.

I don't think it will be bad at all. There will be a little over 1 1/2' on either side of the trailer and I'll probably end up staying a little closer to the "driver's side" so that I can get the slide out partially on the opposite side of the trailer. It has to be open at least part of the way to be able to access the kitchen/living room area. Thanks for the kudos, I'm pleased with how it turned out so far.

I live in Crossville TN. I was wondering who built your car port and roughly how much was it if you don't mind me being brash?

Thanks for all the kudos guys. This RVing thing is getting expensive! I figure that the carport may save me money in the long run though as it will certainly go a long way to help protect the T.H. from the elements...sun/rain/snow/etc.

Looks like it fits nicely and gives you plenty of room to get on the roof when you have too. [emoji106]

I've noticed that too Chip. What's up with the small number of Impact owners........Are we special? :D

In my mind, yes! In other's, probably not. When I was thinking about buying mine I asked several questions and heard crickets. Frustrating. JRJTH pointed out that there weren't a lot of us on the site. There are more popping up but it's slow. I love the cover you've built and am envious of the land to put it on. Great set up. COME ON, SPRING!

Thank you sir. We are on a fairly small lot in a small subdivision about 10 miles out of the nearest town. We've got about 2/3 of an acre here and there are about a dozen houses. I had to do some very careful planning on the carport size. Obviously, it had to be big enough for the T.H.....height, width, length, but I also had to consider if the one I wanted would fit without encroaching onto the easement that runs right beside the install area. In the picture above that is shot directly from the side of the trailer/cover, you see a gravel road. I am on the main hard road that runs in front of my house, but the gravel road runs right beside my property for access to the houses behind me. When everything was said and done, I'm about a foot off of the easement with my 4" x 6" timbers that surround my gravel landing pad. The utilities are underground and go through that easement area....cable, electric, phone, etc. One of the lines is right at the one foot mark away from my gravel timbers. The only other option was to put the carport on the other side of the detached garage, and that would have been a "backing it in" nightmare. This setup allows me to pull up past the carport on the gravel road, and back it almost straight in. The other option would have caused me to try and back the trailer into my back driveway (for the detached garage), then try to make a sharp turn and put it into the carport on the opposite side of the detached garage. That was the option that I didn't want to do for sure.
