Outdoor speakers not working

We have a lanier series radio/dvd. A &B works fine the outside speakers are not working. Where to start checking?

I'd start by pulling the radio out and seeing if the wires are connected correctly. If so, then start swapping wires to see if the problem follows the wire changes.

I have the same unit in my Cougar. The outside speakers failed after a few months, and the dealer replaced the receiver under warranty. The outside speakers on the replacement also failed after another few months. I haven't looked into replacing it again, as I rarely have a use for them, and everything else on the unit works fine.
