Willie & Bev

Hello,
We are Willie and Bev Wilson and we purchased a 177LHS Hideout in September. We were only able to get away for four days this year.
So now we are anxiously waiting for spring.

We used to have a Dutchman 24' TT, then in 1995 we bought a Honda Gold Wing motorcycle and gave up camping in the TT. Since we weren't using the Dutchmen I gave it to my son.

The last few years we have been traveling around the country by motorcycle and camping in a pop-up tent trailer that we pulled behind the bike. So even though the Hideout is small it will seem large to us after having camped in the tent trailer. We typically rode the bike around 20,000 miles per year. Bev's daughter and my son live in Colorado and we usually make it out there more than once a year. As I get older (78 at the end of this month) the bike camper is getting a little too much for me to handle so we decided to give the Hideout a try. We had to keep it small and light because out TV is an '04 Chevrolet Colorado. The Colorado seems to handle the Hideout just fine on the trip home from the dealer and on our one outing this year. I'm sure if we get into some serious hills they will slow us down. Hopefully it will do us long enough to see if we want to continue camping. I'm looking forward to learning more about the RV camping here on this forum.

Welcome to the forum from Southern MD. I lived in Bloomington for 2 years. There are a lot of hills in Southern Indiana. Enjoy, that is a beautiful part of the good old USA.
