I'm just curious at how many take their golf carts with them to the camp grounds. We have one, haven't taken it anywhere yet but plan to in the future.

I know some camp grounds rent carts so they don't allow you to bring your own. Some charge a "trail fee" to use your cart at their CG, and some require that you have a city permit to use your GC. Then there's the ones that its all open without any restrictions for the use of your cart.

I'm curious if its worth all the trouble to try and take it with you or do you just look for the CGs that dont have restrictions?

I myself would love to have my cart with me at most of the parks I go to and would just like to hear what others have to say.

When we were seasonal we had one and it was a lot of fun. We sold it when we started traveling again. The other thing you did not mention is many require you to carry insurance on the cart to use it in their park. Many parks that we go to are not large enough to need a cart.

You are right, any time you have to have a city permit and many times when you have to pay a "trail fee", you have to show proof of insurance, ours is only about $40 a year.

I have had as many as 3 stickers or Trail fee stickers on my cart. Cost is around here $40 a year average for each sticker one was only $5. I have to carry the same coverage on my cart as I have on my automobiles just because of being a rider on my auto policy, so the coverage is the same. Most CG ask you carry at least 50K liability on your cart. I use it 3 times a year while we camp for week long trips and the CG's we use allow carts. IT was much easier to take when we had the TT but with the 5er its more of a headache, but still enjoy haveing it with so we make the extras to bring it with us.

If you do decide to get a cart I have the perfect answer for you to bring your car with you and you can sill back up your trailer. I have one wheel cart that hooks on to your trailer and does not jackknife like a standard trailer would. I used it to hall my Goldwing and it worked great.

I am also interested in the brand.

My only concern is will a Laredo TT bumper support one carrying my Road Glide Ultra.

Ride with Pride Jay, :)

Bring it everywhere that allows them. Fits great in the toy hauler.

I had the cart custom built by Crystal welding in Minnesota and had them add the double wheel in the back so I had extra peace of mind if a tire went flat. One tire is more than capable of carrying the load.

I have seen these but I do like the idea of double wheel in the back.

This cart was made by Crystal welding in Minnesota. I wanted a extra tire on the back so I had them custom build this one with two. I feel it great peace of mind in case of a tire failure. One tire can support the weight.. Just extra insurance.

It cost me an $700 to buy the swivel with two wheels. I have $3000.00 invested in mine with the extra lights, wheel and the two cranks to keep it level when it is unhooked. If anyone is interested I am selling mine for $1800.
