will a 2016 4x4 3500 diesel SWD long bed be enough TV
for a 2008 big sky 340rlq

It's a heavy trailer, but the 3500 can handle the towing weight. The biggest concern with SRW 3500s is the payload. The big sky has a pretty light initial hitch weight, but that weight can rise fairly quickly. I'd say as long as you watch your payload numbers and pack gear accordingly that you should be okay. I doubt you will be able to max out the carrying capacity of 3010, with most of that in the front and basement storage compartments, without exceeding the trucks payload.

Not sure what a SWD is, but if it is a Single Rear Wheel truck that you already own, it will handle the fiver but not as stable as a Dual Rear Wheel truck. We have 13,000 miles of towing with our DRW and would not have anything else.
